The Ford Mustang Gets The Needed Yearly Update & Upgrade

The time has finally come and the 2018 Ford Mustang has been officially released. With the help of former wrestler & Actor Dwayne Johnson ‘The Rock’ and Ford Motor Company, the 2018 Ford Mustang was debuted with a touching story from Marlene Rodriguez, a well-deserving United States combat veteran.

Dwayne Johnson is an representative for the company and in a video filmed at the Ford’s headquarters and posted by the American Actor to his YouTube page, we get a some glimpses of sketches of what appears to be a Mustang Bullitt based on the recently updated version of the sixth-gen car, specifically the Mustang GT model.

Although the exterior changes to the 2018 Mustang may seem subtle aside from the the front fascia, rest assured there are new features and technological advances in the S550’s mid-cycle refresh. Some of which include, but aren’t limited to a higher horsepower and torquier dual-injected 5.0L Coyote Engine for the GT, more torque for the 2.3L EcoBoost engine thanks to an overboost feature, full digital LCD instrument cluster, upgraded MT-82 transmission, available heated steering wheel, available 10-Speed Automatic Transmission, available Active Valve Performance Exhaust and available MagneRide damping system from the GT350 and GT350R.

The exterior of the 2018 Mustang features several light adjustments. The front end gets a new grille and hood. The whole Mustang line features LED headlights, as well. The rear end gets slightly adjusted bumper and a some new LED taillights. The number of exhaust tips grows bigger with more powerful engines. There is also a new paint color — Orange Fury.

The most notable updates take place in the technological realm. New equipment includes a 12″, and all-digital LCD dashboard screen which can be customized for Normal, Track and Sport modes. The Ford Mustang’s Sync 3 infotainment system is provided with Sync Connect, which enables owners to locate, lock, unlock and start vehicles using a smartphone.

The features called Driver-assistance tech have been added to the 2018 Ford Mustang such as autonomous emergency braking, forward-collision warning, and, lane-departure warning a lane-keep assist. Pricing for the 2018 Ford Mustang hasn’t been released by Ford yet. The same goes for details of its drive and engine performance.
