Samsung is working on smart contact lenses, The patent application, filed in South Korea. Contact lenses have a built-in camera, sensors and a display that can take images directly into wearer’s eyes have been reckon by Samsung.

In Smart Contact Lenses an antenna would then transmit the image to a wearer’s device, an external device, a smartphone, is needed for processing.

The Smart Contact Lenses holds chips and sensors of glitters to monitor blood sugar levels.

Samsung isn’t alone in this exertion: Google also patented smart contact lenses with built-in cameras files in April 2014. Also, Samsung has been apparently winding down its standalone camera business around the world, so perhaps the company is focusing instead on opening new styles to take images.
