Zotac is mostly known for its graphics cards and high performance PC. But this time Zotac introduced a wearable system VR Go Backpack PC that is VR-ready and able to fit in a backpack and that also comes with removable straps attached.
ZOTAC VR Go Backpack PC Features
The PC equipped with an Intel Core i7 CPU, an 8GB of RAM, a 120GB M.2 SSD (PCle 3.0×4) and a Itb 2.5 inch hard drive. To expand the storage capacity of the system, ZOTAC also added one bay for a SATA-based 2.5 storage devices (either HHD, which might be affected by rapid movement, or a high capacity TLC SSD)
The system has also come with an 802.11ac Wi-Fi module, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity and NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1070 MXM module. And to cool down the CPU and the GPU (a total TDP of 150W), ZOTAC uses a proprietary low-profile air cooling system.
One side of the device has the appropriate ports to connect the VR headset. The single side has one HDMI output, two USB 3.0 ports and one power connector on top of it. The PC can also be taken off the straps and used as a regular desktop computer.
The Zotac VR Go PC weighs just under 10 pounds and features two 9,000mAh batteries. When one battery runs out of juice, you can replace it with rebooting the computer, because the second battery will keep things running. The system also comes with a removable battery pack that enables autonomous operation for hours.
